Transfer Talk

With the football season already over, there's nothing much on Tv these days. Okay, I'm  passionate about football so I can't live without it. Some people find it odd that I'm like this but hey, I'm happy. Haha.. Ok enuff bout me. It's transfer talk time!!! Since the transfer window has re-open, let's get a closer look at who's going where and all those gossips swirling around.

First up, Brad Friedel. There was much talk about the 40 year old American leaving Aston Villa. He was rumoured to make a return to Liverpool as a back up keeper for Pepe Reina. Then was rumoured to Spurs. Then to I-don't-know-where-anymore. Well, last week he signed a 2 year contract with Spurs. I wonder what would Huerelho DOH-mes think of his signing? Off to a return to PSV Eindhoven perhaps. And now Spurs want Shawcross? I think Spurs want the whole BPL players in their team.

Other Villans looking to leave are non other than Stewart Downing and Ashley Young. Both stated their desires to play in Europe for the coming 2011/2012 season. Clubs looking for their services are non other than Liverpool and Man Utd respectively. Two wingers looking to join title contenders and reports suggest Sir Alex will wrap up the signing of Young in a few weeks time. I'm not too sure about that. Jordan Henderson is also looking to leave Sunderland for Liverpool but his valuation of £20mil is way over-rated.

Poor old Wenger must have lots of thing on his mind right now. Could've ended a 6-trophyless-years but they blew it big time against Birmingham in the Carling Cup Final. Now he's had his current crop wanting to leave, or want a pay rise. I'm talking about Samir Nasri. No doubt he had a good first half of the season but after that, it's like he was fading away. Now he wants a pay hike and rumoured to be looking for a move to Man Utd. The misfiring Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed that he's definitely leaving Arsenal to claim more first team football. The self-proclaimed second best player in the world is rumoured to Bayern Munich and his agent claims he can easily generate £12mil for Arsenal. I really doubt that.

Well, it looks like there have been movement in the Arsenal camp trying to bring in new blood to the team. I really do hope Wenger spends the money given by the owners. They've been linked with Gonzalo Higuain of Real Madrid which I think is never gonna happen. It would be dumb if Madrid decides to cash in on Higuain. Another player rumoured to Arsenal is non other than Peter Odemwingie of West Bromwich Albion. Yeah Gunners fan definitely remembers him. He scored 4 goals in 2 games against Arsenal last season. But for just for £4mil? C'mon Wenger. You gotta be joking son!!!

Wesley Sneijder will make a decision soon with regards of his future With Internazionale? It's been reported that Man Utd are keen to bring him as the overhaul continues for Sir Alex and his team. Luka Modric is also been linked with a £25mil move to Red Devils. It has been reported that Sir Alex has met Harry Redknapp personally to push through the transfer. Sir Alex has made public of his intentions to bring in David De Gea for Van der Sar's replacement. Although the young Spaniard has denied any deal has been struck between Atletico Madrid and Man Utd until 1st of July. We'll have to see what goes on at Old Trafford soon.

And then there's the noisy neighbours of the Barclay's Premier League 2010/2011 Champions, Man City. I can honestly say they want Xavi, Iniesta and Messi after their exploits in the Champions League Final. They want Dani Alves and Busquets as well. It's not worth writing about them. They just want all of the players. I can only say 1 thing to Man City and Roberto Mancini for next season: If you don't win a single trophy next season, there's the door Roberto!!! Oh and I'm fed up with this Tevez saga. A greedy and stupid (I might add) Argentinian. Nuff said...

*Lookin' on your way out??*
