Movie Update : Real Steel

Have you lads heard about Real Steel movie starring Hugh Jackman? I've seen a couple of snippets from the movie. Gotta say, it kinda made me interested to go and watch the movie. It'll be out next week in the US. Hopefully will be out the same time here in Malaysia as well. So far, the critics praised he movie. Plenty of action too. Okay it might be weird seeing robot box but hey, it's fun to watch ain't it? Here's a few trailers and the last video features an interview with the man himself, Hugh Jackman.

Johnny English Reborn

Bet some of you have watched Johnny English Reborn. What are your thoughts on the movie? Good? Bad? Just okay? Well, here's my thought about the movie...
MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!!

I have never laughed that much while watching any movie in my entire life. Seriously it was packed with laughter and Johnny English outplayed Mr Bean's comedies. Gotta admit that Rowan Atkinson is getting older but his antics never seem to let fans down. This is by far the best comedic performace by him and definitely by miles away the best. The laughter starts before the movie even started. Not gonna ruin it for those of you haven't watch it. Oh by the way, I'm watching it again tomorrow. Haha...

One more highlight of the movie was his co-star Rosamund Pike. Hot, blonde and British. What more can I say. HaAaAaAa...

Movie rating: 11/10??? HELL YEAH!!!

Will There Be 2 iPhones Due in October?

If one iPhone can take over the world, what can two iPhones do? Well, we guess we'll find out in October.

Former US Vice President Al Gore, who also happens to be an Apple board member, has kind of confirmed that the gadget giants will indeed be launching their "new iPhones" on October 4th.

According to Toby Shapshack, the editor of Stuff Magazine in South Africa, Gore reportedly told a packed crowd at the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit (DILS) earlier this week: "Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month. That was a plug."

Gore's statement has, in more ways than one, cleared up a seven-month rumour that Apple is set to release two iPhones this year. One, Bloomberg reported back in February, will be a "budget" offering Apple plan to use to compete with inexpensive Android smartphones currently in the market.

This lower-end device, which was given the codename "iPhone 4S" or the "iPhone 4 plus" more recently, is said to look nearly identical to Apple's current model, the iPhone 4, but with a few upgraded internal components. According to reports, the device will be sold for less than US$200 without a contract.

The other device, of course, is the much-anticipated iPhone 5. The device will very likely be equipped with a larger, edge-to-edge display screen reportedly up to 4", a faster processor in the form of a dual-core A5, and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. And if rumours are to be believed, the iPhone 5 will also boast a wider and touch sensitive Home button.

Of course, those are just rumours, and I advise you to take it with a grain of salt. Guess we'll find out in October.

Happy Birthdays!!!

September alone, I had 3 people celebrating their birthdays. First it was Muhammad, next is Kak Nana and then it was Ieja and finally Sufia (soon on the 29th!!!). Oh and Muhammad Imran was born on the 10th Sept 2011!!! Now make that 5 in the familia.. Woohoo!!! Here are some photos taken during the birthday dinners. Love you all :)

We celebrated Muhammad's birthday at Jalan Eaton. Check out the cupcakes. Spongebob Squarepants!!!

Kak Nana's birthday, we went to Restoran Muhibbah in TTDI (sorry, no photos from my camera) and Chilis in KLCC for a late snack. Kak Nana got a cake from Chilis but no singers. Hmmm ...

Yesterday we went to Chilis KLCC again for Ieja's birthday dinner with the family. We had fun. I even asked them to sing as loud as possible for Ieja's cake. Huhu... And Cik Man, was super hungry til he broke the knife. He really did.

Edge Appreciation Night

Last week on Friday Night Smackdown!, WWE held an emotional appreciation night for the former 11 time WWE Champion, Edge, in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. It's been a couple of months since he left the business he loved so much and on that very special night he returned to the square circle, complete with his titantron entrance music by Alter Bridge. The fans gave him a standing ovation. Altogether it was a very great show topped with the WWE honouring Edge after the show went off air. Here's some photos from the appreciation night. Enjoy!

Man Utd 3 - 1 Chelsea: Postmortem

Hello and happy Monday folks!!! How was your weekend??? Great, I sincerely hope with more Hari Raya Open Houses and other great stuffs. Mine ended brialliantly. Yesterday especially was a great day. Started off with spending time with my nephews and nieces, had a home cooked Nasi Lemak with them, went for breakfast with 2 angels, head for an open house (tremendous foods), took a nap, went to supermarket with my Mum & niece, wished my sis a Happy Birthday to her and finally rounded off with a great football match with a great result.

Let's head to Old Trafford for an in depth coverage of what happened last night.

United have won five straight league games this term, scoring an impressive 21 goals in the process. It is the club's best start to any top-flight campaign since 1985 — before Ferguson even arrived at Old Trafford — and the boss says he is loving it. Following yesterday's 3-1 win against Big Four rivals Chelsea, Ferguson, 69, said: "I have never had a team before that has opened a season in such blistering form and scored so freely. It is breaking new ground for me — and to say that at this stage of a fairly lengthy career is really something. I'm excited and why not? Because we have been privy to something rather special. Of course, you can't help wondering if it is going to last and, after a lifetime in the game, football has taught me that there is often a banana skin around the corner. I ask myself, 'Will the bubble burst?' But while accepting that our present form is exceptional, I can't help but feel that this season is going to be good for Manchester United. We may find it difficult to maintain the scoring spree that has been such a feature of our Premier League games so far this season. But I believe we will continue to be a handful for our opponents and make a serious championship challenge again."

Fergie added: "The Nani finish was fantastic, unbelievable."

But it was difficult to understand how Chelsea were 3-0 down by half-time having played some great stuff. And had Torres hit the target after pulling the visitors back to 3-1, the Blues might have gone on to rescue a point. The Spaniard was much more like a £50million striker than the 50p one he has looked like since his switch from Liverpool. However, his blunder here is one which will haunt him for many years.

*Torres pulled one back early in the second half*

Torres was so often the thorn in United's side as a Red and, when he went through with seven minutes left latching on to Ramires' pass, he got most of the job right. He cleverly switched the ball from his right foot as he skipped round David De Gea but, with the goal gaping, he somehow shot wide from six yards.

Robert Earnshaw can rest easy. His howler for Wales against England has been relegated to second place in the miss of the season contest. Torres has it in the bag.

*Even Rooney fluffed his penalty wide*

As the final whistle blew Rooney went over to Torres, put an arm round his shoulder and whispered in his ear. Wonder what he said — thanks for sharing the embarrassment perhaps?

Champions League Round Up

Another round of Champions League was completed last night. The goals dried up (as expected) compared to the first day. Here's a recap on selected matches for those who missed out on the action (like me, due to a certain saint).

First up, we head to Benfica in Portugal where they hosted Man United. The line up that Sir Alex Ferguson put out was to let the senior players absorb the pressure from Benfica. They can be very intimidating with the crowd behind them.

Benfica 1 - 1 Man Utd: Oscar Cardozo put Benfica ahead but golden oldie Ryan Giggs levelled the scores with a wonder goal. Sir Alex rested a number of players with the view of Chelsea on Sunday. Not a perfect start to the campaign but it's always a good result away from home.

Next, we have a shocker. Inter Milan v Trabzonspor at the San Siro. It should have been an easy ride on the park for the 2010 champions but the Turkish side had other ideas.

Inter Milan 0 - 1: You got that right. Inter lost at home to Trabzonspor. The biggest shocker so far. With Gasperini deploying his 3-4-3 formation, it's like an accident waiting to happen. In my personal view, 3-4-3 formation has been dead for a long long time. A powerhouse club once did, FC Barcelona, back  when Louis Van Gaal was in charged for a second spell. It only lasted 6 months before he was fired from his job. My advise, either Gasperini change the formation, or there's the EXIT door son. Hahaha...

Let's head to Spain where Villareal hosted Bayern Munich. Okay so it was an expected result for Bayern to win in Spain. Here's a photo.

Villareal 0 - 2: An expected result for Bayern to win in Spain. The goals were scored Tony Kroos and Rafinha. A good start for the Germans then. Not much to review here.

Finally, let's review the most talked about team debuting in Champions League, Man City.
Plenty of talk about them in the press. Even former Arsenal legend, Ian Wright said City could even beat Barcelona. You sure about that Ian??? I guess a lot of people were saying City are above and better than Barcelona. Errr, do not write off the Catalans yeah. Even Real Madrid were beaten 5 - 0 last season. Yeah 5 - 0!!!

Man City 1 - 1 Napoli: Cavani gave Napoli the lead, only for Kolarov to levelled the scores few minutes later. Here's a quote from The Sun tabloid from the UK. "And pretenders City now know just what this Champions League malarkey is all about. At least their big night did not end in defeat, although they came mighty close. But all comparisons with Pep Guardiola's European Champions need to stop and straight away. Roberto Mancini has said as much already but the thousands turning up for this big European debut came in wild excitement and expectation. They left soberly, realising that romping to wins here over Swansea and Wigan is one thing — taking on the might of Europe is quite another". NUFF SAID!!!

 Other results: Ajax 0 - 0 Lyon, Lille 2 - 2 CSKA Moscow, Dinamo Zagreb 0 - 1 Real Madrid and FC Basel 2 - 1 Otelul Galati

Champions League Is Back!!!

Champions League is back for the 2011/12 season!!! And my, what a return it has been. Goals flowing for most of the games and the intensity is absolutely at its highest quality. Have you all seen the official match ball for this season? Colourful and quite funky too. Here, have a look.

Okay, nuff said about the official match ball. Back to the real action. Last night we saw 8 games being played across europe. Here's a selective review on the games:

Barcelona 2 - 2 AC Milan: This game saw the brilliance and what Champions League is all about. Goals galore and pure football geniuses at work. Pato scored after just 24 seconds into the match and he ran straight through the heart of Barca's midfield & defence and slotted the ball between Victor Valdes's legs. Other goals scored by Pedro, David Villa (Barcelona) and Thiago Silva (AC Milan).

Next, we dive into the game between Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal. After a disastrous start to the BPL campaign, can Arsenal put their early season nightmares behind them?

Borussia Dortmund 1 - Arsenal: RvP gave Arsenal the lead but their opponents clawed back to get an equalizing goal from Ivan Perisic. It was a goal with the highest quality. A headed clearance by Kieran Gibbs was volleyed by Perisic in the 88th minute for the equalizer.

Next stop, we have Chelsea pitted against Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge which saw the former legend (NOT) Ballack made a return and almost scored. Gotta say, although Torres didn't score last night, he created 2 goals. I was impressed with his contribution for the 2nd goal especially.

Chelsea 2 - 0 Bayer Leverkusen: Bayer's keeper managed to keep Chelsea at bay in the first half with brilliant saves but it took a great run by David Luiz including his goal, to give  Chelsea a winning start on the campaign. Then, another brilliant run by Torres and his set up for Mata was just enough to please their manager, Andre Villas-Boas with the result.

Finally, we head to The Dragao Stadium in Portugal for the match between FC Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk.

FC Porto 2 - 1 Shakhtar Donetsk: I advise you folks to have a look at Hulk's goal. A thunderous free kick by him pulled the scores level after Luiz Adriano fired the Ukrainians ahead. Hulk had earlier missed a penalty actually. What a way to redeem himself after missing from the spot.

Other results: Apoel Nicosia 2 - 1 Zenit St Petersburg, RC Genk 0 - 0 Valencia, Viktoria Plzen 1 - 1 BATE Borisov and Olympiakos 0 - 1 Marseille.

iPhone 5 News

iPhone 5 production, Foxconn producing 150k units per day!!! This news was reported on September 11th. 150K iPhone 5 units per day, 5-6 million expected this September. These figures are said to be what OEM maker Foxconn is churning out, according to industry sources.
The report also stated that Apple may be ready for a mass shipment of  the iPhone 5. The Taiwanese website, digitimes.com, reported the 150K per day figure, as well as an expected 5-6 million units produced by this September and top 22 million as we go into the fourth quarter.

According to Digitimes, “Lens maker Largan Precision, touch panel maker TPK Holding, reinforced glass supplier G-Tech Optoelectronics and battery vendors Simplo and Dynapack are all operating at full swing currently, the sources indicated.”

First test photo taken with an iPhone 5?

This news was reported on September 9th. A photo of a plate of sushi. Doesn’t seem all that important, right? Wrong.
It is, if the photo was taken using an iPhone 5.
Pocketnow.com has recently stumbled upon a photo of a plate of sushi, supposedly taken using an iPhone 5.
Although the EXIF data points to an iPhone 4, there were some, “inaccuracies”… Pocketnow tells it better:
“This (very attractive) photo claims to have been taken by an iPhone 4 but the rest of its EXIF data tells a different story: although the image has been cropped to 2235×2291 (5.12 megapixels), the original picture was a much larger 3264×2448 — or just shy of eight megapixels. What’s more, the lens was recorded as a 4.3mm f/2.4, which is closer to that of a point-and-shoot than the iPhone 4′s actual 3.85mm f/2.8. (Remember that the upcoming HTC Runnymede is said to have an aperture of f/2.2.)”
Even though rumors and leaks involving EXIF data should be taken with a pinch of salt, (because EXIF data can be easily manipulated and faked) the fact that this photo was taken by an Apple engineer gives a lot more credence to this story.
Anton D’Auria, the Apple engineer who took the photo, uploaded it to his Flickr account (which was recently been made private) and entitled it, “lunch”.
There are also some other aspects of this photo that seem to give further evidence of it being taken using an iPhone 5, like the fact that it was taken at Cupertino, CA, which is Apple’s HQ.
So… 8MP camera on the next iPhone, check?

This news was reported on September 9th. Japanese website macotacara.jp has recently reported that assembly for the iPhone 5 has begun, according to a “Chinese” source.
The source told Macotacara that tech manufacturing companies Foxconn Technology and Pegatron Technology are to begin making iPhone 5′s, with both companies responsible for 85% an 15% of production respectively.
They also mentioned that the “assembled” iPhone 5′s are not yet packaged, due to the  iOS 5 not being finalized yet.
As reported here recently, an October release is mentioned. They also added that a late October release for Asian markets is to expected.
The Apple iPhone 5 is rumored to have a bigger screen, some speculate up to 4 inches with an edge to edge design. Processing power is said to be done with an A5 dual-core processor. Also, there are strong suggestions of an elongated, gesture based home button. Many have also speculated that an 8MP camera will be equipped on the iPhone 5.

ComicBookMovie Updates!!!

Not sure bout u folks, but I'm a huge fan of comic books. I read 'em when I was a young kid and now most of the character have been brought up to life in the movies. Some were successful and some weren't. This year we're seen plenty of comic book adaptations. Although I haven't been able to watch Green Lantern and Captain America, the reviews were just so-so. I guess those 2 movies didn't excite me that much to watch 'em on the big screen.

I'm always eager to find the latest update on new comic book adaptation, trailers, spoilers etc. on the internet. Few years ago I came across a website with tons of infos that I've been looking for. I definitely encourage you folks to visit this website from Comic Book Movie . It's even on my fave's site tab on the right hand of the screen.

With that, here's a video on the IGN 2011 Summer Movie Awards.

Here's another 3 more video's from Nike, where they're gonna release the shoes that made famous by Marty McFly in Back to the Future Trilogy some years ago. In the Part II trilogy, he got the shoes back in 2015 and was given by his best friend, Doctor Emmet L Brown (famously known as Doc), Check out this cool promo. I've also added a trailer including Kevin Durant (NBA Player) and famous comedian Bill Hader promoting the shoe. And I'm definitely getting my hands in one of 'em. Nice kicks man!!!

Welcome Home Juventus!!!

Juventus is back home!!! Serie A giants Juventus opened their new 41,000-capacity Juventus Arena on Thursday night with a 1-1 draw against Notts County.

County are the team who inspired Juve's famous black and white striped shirts.
Luca Toni scored the first goal in the new stadium early in the second half on the rebound after Fabio Quagliarella's penalty had been saved by County keeper Rob Burch.

But Martin Allen's League One side ensured their evening became even more memorable when Lee Hughes equalised with a close-range effort three minutes from full-time.
County had travelled to Turin for the once-in-a-lifetime clash at the invitation of the Italian giants, who included the likes of Alessandro Del Piero and Gianluigi Buffon in their starting line-up.

County have made a patchy start to their League One campaign and face a swift return to the reality of lower division life as they prepare to face Walsall at Meadow Lane on Saturday.

The new Juventus Arena is inspired by Premier League stadiums with no running track and the stands designed to be close to the pitch. It was built on the site of the Stadio delle Alpi, the club's previous home.

Juventus switched from their original pink shirts to black and white stripes in 1903 after one of their players, Englishman John Savage, convinced them of County's example.

I was in tears wathing the video posted on their official website www.juventus.com for the opening ceremony. All the former players and managers were in attendance and it brought a whole lot of memories from back then. And we’ll always be united, today and tomorrow, ready to chant together, until the end...
Until the end, Forza Juventus!
