After posting about Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the Barclays Premier League Legends, I couldn't just stop there. I just had to write more and more. I will update you folks on more legends but for now, let's talk about the Geordie legend, Alan Shearer.
The name Alan Shearer will forever be remembered by everyone who watches the Premier League. He's been dubbed as Mr Premiership. He was simply the unbelievable and most of the time, unplayable for the opponents. A flourishing career at Southampton, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United. A big, traditional centre forward with great ability to find the net. He currently holds a number of Premier League records: 260 Premiership goals, 11 hat-tricks, 3 straight golden boot winner and loads more. As a Geordie, Big Al turned down Man Utd twice to play for his boyhood club, Newcastle Utd. And boy, did he made a name for himself in the black and white strip. THAT wonder goal against Everton, will forever be fresh in my mind. No idea what I'm talking about? You just gotta see the video below and admire the Mr Premiership himself, Alan Shearer.
